About the Teachers

Scott Moore is an experienced violin and viola pedagogue and performing violinist in the Cincinnati-Dayton area. His first teacher was Dianne Pinner of Greenville, SC. He graduated with a B. Mus. in violin performance from Bob Jones University in 2007, having studied with Achim Gerber. In 2009 he received his M. Mus. from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, studying with Piotr Milewski. Other teachers include Masao Kawasaki, and Haixin Wu. Scott is a violinist with the Dayton Philharminic Orchestra. He formerly held the position of principal second violin with the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Kentucky Symphony, the Spartanburg (SC) Philharmonic and the American Academy of Conducting Orchestra at Aspen.  In addition, he performs chamber music extensively throughout the Cincinnati-Dayton area. Scott enjoys cooking, reading, and studying church history. 

Jessica Moore is the founding director of the Middletown Christian Schools Strings Program. She has seventeen years' experience teaching violin, viola and piano to students with a wide range of talents. Jessica began her studies with Ann Wood (violin) and Lorrayne Krans (piano). She received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a concentration in violin from Bob Jones University in 2007, studying with Dianne Pinner. Jessica enjoys bargain hunting, all things vintage, and being mama to Jacob and Ethan.
